🏆 2nd Tamil Nadu State-Level Children’s Chess Tournament at FIITJEE Global School, Katpadi 🏆
FIITJEE Global School, Katpadi, proudly hosted the 2nd Tamil Nadu State-Level Children’s Chess Tournament, in association with the Vellore District Chess Association (RVDCA), under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association (TNSCA).
The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 300 budding chess talents from across the state, competing across Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, and Under-14 categories for both boys and girls. A total of 150 prizes were awarded to top performers, recognizing their skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.
The tournament was inaugurated by our Honourable Principal, Mrs. Pongal Punitha, who made the ceremonial first move on the chessboard.
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Honourable Mr. Manikandaswamy, Vice President, TNSCA & Secretary, RVDCA, and Honourable Mr. Manoharan, Secretary, RVDCA. Their inspiring presence and encouraging words motivated the young players to pursue excellence in the sport.
The tournament was meticulously organized by Mr. Sivakumar and Mr. Naresh, whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of every round.
The event concluded with a message of perseverance, strategy, and continuous learning, reflecting the spirit of chess.
